We are looking for a commercially sharp and operationally minded Commercial Manager to join the leadership team within our Sales, Marketing & Risk division, based at our Darra site in Brisbane.
This is a role where finance meets the frontline. You will be embedded in the business, partnering with leaders across our sales, distribution and marketing teams to shape strategy, drive profitability and make commercially sound decisions that have real impact.
Reporting to the General Manager of Sales, Marketing & Risk, you will lead a small commercial services team and take ownership of the division's financial and commercial performance. If you are someone who can move between big-picture strategy and hands-on analysis with ease, this is the kind of role that will keep you engaged.
Your Opportunity
- Be a trusted commercial partner to the SMR leadership team, translating financial data into insights that drive better decisions and stronger results
- Lead pricing strategy across the division, from development through to implementation, measurement and commercial evaluation
- Own commercial contracts end to end - identifying opportunities, managing execution, monitoring compliance and reporting on performance
- Take ownership of the SMR financial position, championing a culture of budget accountability, cost control and continuous improvement
- Provide commercial analysis to support capital investment, new product development and major commercial projects
- Lead, develop and engage a team of four, building capability and setting clear development and succession pathways
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholder representatives and key stakeholders across the business
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field and a recognised accountancy qualification (CPA, Chartered etc)
- Demonstrated career growth in commercial finance, business partnering, or supply chain finance roles including people leadership experience
- Proven ability as a trusted finance business partner with an operational mindset
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and commercial evaluation skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive and senior stakeholders, constructively challenge decisions and drive strategic outcomes
- Genuine commercial acumen - you understand contracts, pricing, negotiations and what drives a business forward
- A continuous improvement approach, with experience in change management and system implementation
- Experience with SAP (or other ERP) and advanced Business Intelligence analytics tools
