About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to oversee the day-to-day running of our wonderful maternity units at Scone and Muswellbrook Hospitals. The role would be based 3 days per week at Scone, 2 days in Muswellbrook. On any given day, you will be running multidisciplinary team meetings, triaging women, managing the maternity workforce through rostering and performance management, and being the point of contact for the Maternity Units within the hospital. You will have the opportunity to keep your clinical skills by enjoying time caring for our community’s women and babies, as well as ramping up your administrative skills in the office.
You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the Health Service Managers at each facility, as well as the Clinical Nurse Managers. Clinical midwife educators are available for additional support, and you will be connected with the Women’s Health and Maternity (WHAM) Network for ongoing assistance. Requirements:
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as well as Relevant tertiary qualification or has had experience in management.
Eligible to drive in NSW with a current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.

All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
