About the Venue
The Osbourne Hotel is one of Fortitude Valley's most iconic live entertainment venues. A multi-space destination where great nights are built on great people, great service, and a team that knows how to own the room. With a reputation forged on the Valley's energy and a loyal, growing following, we're looking for a Venue Manager who's ready to step in, lead from the front, and take this venue to the next level.
The Position
This isn't a desk job. As Venue Manager at The Osbourne, you'll be the heartbeat of the operation - on the floor, driving revenue, holding the standard, and developing the talent that makes it all possible. You'll be commercially sharp, people-focused, and energised by the pace of late-night hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of venue operations with a hands-on, floor-first approach.
- Actively drive revenue through upselling culture, event optimisation, and guest experience excellence.
- Own the P&L (labour costs, COGs, KPIs, and financial reporting).
- Recruit, train, mentor and retain a high-performing FOH team.
- Build and embed a strong training culture that continuously lifts talent across the floor.
- Maintain compliance across RSA, OH&S, licensing, and venue governance
- Set and uphold service standards that reflect The Osbourne's identity
- Collaborate with the group P&C and operations teams on strategy and people development
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Venue Manager in high-volume, late-night hospitality.
- A genuine revenue hunter. Someone who understands how to grow the top line and protect the bottom line.
- Passionate about developing people, with a track record of lifting team capability and retention.
- Comfortable and energised working nights, this is a role that comes alive after dark.
- Strong operational discipline: rostering, compliance, systems and standards.
- A natural leader who earns respect on the floor, not from behind a screen.
- Valid RMLV and hold an Approved Manager's license.
- Commercially literate with confidence in financials, labour targets and KPIs.
What's on Offer
- Competitive remuneration and performance-based rewards.
- Career progression within the broader Kickon Group.
- Access to accredited training programs and industry-leading mentorship.
- Extensive staff benefits and group partnership program.
- A passionate, supportive team culture in one of Brisbane's most recognisable venues.
We strive to create an inclusive working environment that values diversity and fosters creativity. If you're a hospitality professional who leads from the front, loves the energy of the night, and knows how to build a team worth backing, we want to hear from you.
