About the Opportunity
Join Austal as a Scaffolder in Henderson WA and play a key role in supporting the construction, maintenance and sustainment of defence and commercial vessels from our Henderson facility. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the safe erection, modification, inspection and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring trades and production teams have safe and reliable access to complete their work. Working in a dynamic shipbuilding environment, you'll contribute to projects of national significance while enjoying stable employment, ongoing development opportunities and the chance to be part of Australia's growing maritime industry.

What’s Involved
- Erecting scaffolding of various types
- Determining job requirements and planning/configuring scaffolding

Fixing guardrails
-
Dismantling job after completion
- Loading and unloading materials/equipment

Maintain good house keeping by removing potential obstructions and returning unused equipment to designated storage areas

Conducting regular scaffold inspections/safety audits
Dues to production requirements at times there is expectation you will also be required to

Facilitate maintenance activities and yard work

Painting activities, including line marking and walkways
- Forklift operations

Removal and emptying of construction waste bins from vessels
