Support Worker – Employment Support (NDIS) Location: Kuraby, QLD 4112
We are seeking a reliable, motivated Male Support Worker to provide Employment Support to a young adult NDIS participant living in Kuraby. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about helping people build skills, confidence, and independence toward finding and keeping meaningful employment.
About the participant: An 18-year-old male NDIS participant seeking support to develop work-readiness skills, explore employment options, and build confidence in a workplace setting.
Role responsibilities:
- Support the participant to identify employment goals and build job-seeking skills (resume, applications, interview prep)
- Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to build workplace confidence and independence
- Assist with travel training/transport to and from work or job-seeking appointments as needed
- Liaise with family/nominee and other supports to ensure a consistent, person-centred approach
- Maintain accurate case notes and progress reporting in line with NDIS requirements
Essential requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field (or equivalent experience) - NOT REQUIRED, PREFFERED
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Experience supporting young adults with disability into employment (highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills and a positive, encouraging approach
- Australian Business Number (ABN)
