Big Loaf Shop is looking for a friendly, capable barista & front-of-house all-rounder to join our weekend team.
We’re a shopfront attached to a bakery, built around old-fashioned country-style service, good food, good coffee and genuine community connection. We make and sell whole, tasty foods with care, and we want our customers to feel welcome every time they walk through the door.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a small team and takes pride in doing things properly.
You’ll be involved in:
Making speciality coffee, using ovens to bake and prepare food
Serving customers with warmth and genuine hospitality
Taking orders and operating the POS
Displaying and serving our bakery and food range
Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented
Helping with opening, mid shift and closing duties
Supporting the wider team wherever needed
Creating the kind of friendly, personal service you’d expect from a good old country shop
Has 3+ years barista and hospitality experience
Is confident, friendly and comfortable talking with customers
Takes pride in their work and presentation
Can work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
Is reliable, punctual and happy to pitch in
Has a genuine interest in good food, coffee and community
Understands that great hospitality is about more than just taking an order
Weekend availability is essential. We’re open to the right person in either a part-time or full-time capacity, depending on experience and availability. There is a double weekend requirement for this role, and in exchange, you will have 3 days off.
