What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of MNC Virtual Care is to reduce low acuity ED presentations, reduce preventable admissions and facilitate early hospital discharge.

Provide effective and safe medical services within a virtual care framework.

Provide education, supervision and support to junior medical staff, paramedics and nursing staff.

Formulate and follow protocols to guide expansion of virtual care medical service.

Liaise with NSW Ambulance and the Emergency Departments of the MNCLHD for patients referred to the service.

Provide discharge summaries to Primary GPs at the time of discharge from the service.

Remain to up to date with best medical practice, specifically as regards Virtual Care medicine.

Remain up to date with MNC Virtual pathways and directives.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
