1. Strong violin performance skills with a sound understanding of music theory and technique
2. Demonstrated experience teaching violin across a range of age groups and ability levels
3. Skilled and enthusiastic educator with a genuine passion for music education and nurturing young
musicians
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. A flexible, organised, and proactive approach
6. Ability to work in a team environment
Desirable
1. Hold a degree and or a post graduate qualification in music, performance, or music education, or
significant relevant professional experience
Appointment Conditions
The employee must have the following:
- Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) ‘Ochre Card’ - employment is conditional on
compliance with the Care and Protection of Children Act (NT) 2007, as amended, and the
accompanying regulations
- National Police Clearance, maintained for the duration of employment.
This job description is intended as a framework for performance review conducted by the Director of Music
who reserves the right to amend roles, responsibilities, and requirements as necessary to meet the operational
needs of the school.
Your performance and remuneration package will be reviewed at three months and again at six months
following commencement. These reviews may or may not result in a salary adjustment, at the discretion of
the Principal.
Superannuation Guarantee contributions at the current rate of 12% will be paid by the school in addition to
salary.
