About the Role
The role generally involves:
- Working under the direction of classroom teachers and school leaders.
- Supporting individual students and small groups with classroom activities.
- Assisting students with diverse learning, behavioural, wellbeing or personal-care needs.
- Following Individual Learning Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and agreed classroom adjustments.
- Encouraging students’ independence, confidence and engagement.
- Supervising students during lessons, breaks, excursions and other school activities.
- Working flexibly across different classes and year levels.
- Maintaining confidentiality, professional boundaries and accurate communication with staff.
- Supporting the Catholic identity and values of the school.
- Following Child Safe Standards, mandatory reporting requirements and DOBCEL policies.
