Multiple Positions Available - Full Time/Part Time
As per the SMOEA 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

About the roles
Burns Service Registrar:
Provides clinical care to Burns inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision. Participates in teaching, research, and after-hours rosters, supporting high-quality surgical care and teamwork.
Plastic Surgery Service Registrar:
Provides clinical care to Plastics inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision. Contributes to teaching and research, supporting high-quality care and effective multidisciplinary teamwork.
Key duties of the role
Provide a professional clinical consultant service to the inpatients and outpatients of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Gain the necessary knowledge and skills to provide safe & effective surgery for children in a plastic surgical practice/ surgical practice specialising in Burns
Participate in clinical research, audits, and development of initiatives, contributing to studies, building areas of interest, and ensuring all activities meet ethical standards.
Contribute to a team environment that promotes positivity, learning and development, safety and welfare of employees, acknowledges differences and encourages creativity, innovation and honesty.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
Clinical skills appropriate for duties in Burns/Plastics Operating Theatres, Outpatient Clinics and Ward activities
Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines and achieve agreed outputs
