About the role
As the Clinical Director, Cardiac Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure, you will lead a highly specialised multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering world-class patient care, driving innovation, fostering research excellence and supporting the development of future cardiac specialists. Working closely with the Director of Transplantation and senior Cardiology leaders, you will oversee the delivery and continual improvement of services for patients requiring advanced heart failure therapies, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Assist the Director with appropriate budget review in conjunction with the Cost Centre manager for the area and the Program Management team.
Seek to provide, and assume financial responsibility for the cost-efficient running of the service in accordance with the expectations of the Qld Health Code of Conduct relating to economy and efficiency.
Producing appropriate clinical activity, outcome data and quality activities.
Provide out of hours cover for the special requirements of the area.
Produce or modify position descriptions and coordinate staff appointments to the unit.
