VE CONSTRUCTION is based in Melbourne and we are seeking a Formwork Carpenter in order to complete major construction projects around Victoria.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Annual salary: 77'000 to 85,000 pa
Description of the position at VE CONSTRUCTION
· You will be required to cut, shape and join wood and other products using a range of hand tools, eg hammer, saw, planes and chisels
· You will be required to use power tools and machines
· Use your skills to set out and construct roofs, install floors, stairs and window
· Required to study drawings, perform craft calculations and select materials to meet design requirements
· Site work incudes the construction of buildings which require first and second fixing
· Knowledge of setting out, production and assembly of wood and material is essential
· Knowledge of and working to Health and Safety requirements
· Conduct efficient communication through the various levels of authorities, sub-contractor and customers
· Report the completion of tasks and reporting to line manager
· Work individually and in a team environment
· Conduct Safe Work practices always
· Be willing to travel to various locations around the Victoria with nights away from home possibly required
The skills/qualifications required for the role:
· AQF IV with at least 2 years of the relevant experience OR three years full-time equivalent experience as a carpenter
· Take pride in your work

· Able to work in a team and unsupervised
