As the Senior Field Officer, you will:
Provide leadership, support and advice to industry partners, client groups and stakeholders on the regional programs and services administered by the department.
Work collaboratively or independently to manage staff, contribute to team outcomes and respond flexibly to operational needs.
Drive the development, implementation and evaluation of regional activities, including operational planning, system improvements, governance processes, data integrity and information management.
Co-design and deliver regional strategies that strengthen regulatory functions, address workforce challenges, enhance VET pathways, support small businesses and improve employment outcomes across Queensland.
Represent the region with influence, participating in committees, delivering presentations, resolving complex issues and preparing high quality briefings, reports and ministerial correspondence.

The ability to deliver high quality well researched advice and interpretation on a wide range of VET system issues, including apprenticeships, traineeships, stakeholder capability building and workforce development initiatives.
Strong capability in investigating issues and complaints, gathering and analysing data and preparing accurate compliant reports and documentation aligned with legislation, directives and departmental policies.
Proven leadership skills including mentoring, coaching and supporting staff to build capability and achieve performance expectations.
Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development and public sector accountability, demonstrated though proactive learning and reflective practice.
Conduct research, analysis information and provide evidence-based recommendations on regional services and programs while delivering initiatives and fostering collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, clients and customers across the VET system.
