About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and laying tiles across a range of residential and commercial construction projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement and layout
- Prepare and clean surfaces prior to tiling, including removal of existing tiles where required
- Mix, apply, and level adhesives, grouts, and other bedding materials
- Cut tiles to required sizes and shapes using tile cutters and angle grinders
- Lay and set ceramic, porcelain, stone, marble, and mosaic tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces
- Apply grouting between tiles and finish edges and joints to a professional standard
- Waterproof wet areas including bathrooms, laundries, and balconies in accordance with Australian Standards
- Inspect completed tiling work to ensure quality, alignment, and compliance with project specifications
- Liaise with site supervisors, builders, and other tradespeople to coordinate workflow
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements on all worksites
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler including at least 1 year of full-time experience within the last 5 years
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (CPC31320 or equivalent) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with a wide variety of tile types and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards relating to tiling and waterproofing
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Training) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence desirable
