Heavy Equipment Float Driver
AAMG is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Float Driver to join our client's growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator with a background transporting oversized and heavy equipment within the construction, civil, or mining industries. You'll play a key role in the safe and efficient transport of heavy machinery while working with a well-established and respected contractor.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Team, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of heavy mobile equipment using specialised float trailers and heavy haul trucks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Transporting oversized and heavy equipment to and from project sites
- Loading, securing and unloading machinery in accordance with transport regulations and company procedures
- Conducting pre-start inspections and ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy
- Completing required transport documentation
- Planning safe transport routes and complying with permit requirements where applicable
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal road transport legislation
- Working closely with site personnel to coordinate equipment movements
- Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current MC Driver Licence
- Proven experience operating heavy haul trucks and float trailers
- Demonstrated experience transporting oversized loads
- Previous experience within the construction, civil or mining industries
- Sound knowledge of state and federal transport regulations
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Highly Regarded
The following will be highly advantageous:
- Experience operating earthmoving or mobile plant
- Relevant machinery tickets to assist with loading and unloading equipment
- Dogging, Rigging or Forklift Licence
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
