The Department
In the Alfred Care Group, Allied Health is renowned for its outstanding patient care, achieved through clinical excellence, professional opportunities, innovation and care for our staff. We are Art Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Disability Liaison Officers, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Orthoptics, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology & Language Services, and Spiritual Care, as well as Allied Health Assistants. The Role
Allied Health Professionals in the Allied Health Reliever Pool provide flexible clinical coverage across the Bayside Local Health Service Network to support continuity of care during staff leave and service gaps across the following disciplines: Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, and Speech Pathology.
The Grade 3 (Senior Clinician) and Grade 2 (Senior) Allied Health Reliever positions support service delivery across Bayside Health (Alfred Care Group, Peninsula Care Group, and Regional Care Group) as well as Calvary Bethlehem Health Care. The roles provide senior clinical expertise and complex patient care whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams in local areas. They support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining professional standards, organisational policies, and adaptable service support across different clinical environments.
The role also contributes to workforce development through supervision and support of Grade 1 and/or 2 clinicians and Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) and undergraduate students where appropriate, and are responsible for maintaining ongoing professional development to ensure clinical capability across varied practice settings.
Location and type of work is negotiated with each successful candidate.
Qualifications and Experience Required

Relevant degree in an allied health profession

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible for membership with relevant professional body, with adherence to continuing professional development requirements
