The Architect (MAP/Braze) defines and delivers Braze-led marketing automation and customer engagement solutions that connect strategy, data, channels, and delivery. The role combines strategic advisory with hands-on architecture across MAPs, CDPs, CRM, digital channels, and the wider martech ecosystem, with Braze as the primary focus.
Job Duties:
Client advisory and MAP strategy
- Advise clients on MAP strategy, governance, operating models, and lifecycle marketing roadmaps.
- Facilitate discovery across journeys, campaign operations, data flows, channels, consent, and technology constraints.
- Translate business goals and customer journeys into practical solution designs.
- Assess Braze, other MAPs, CDPs, CRM, analytics, and channel platforms for fit, gaps, and scalability.
Braze solution design and architecture
- Design end-to-end MAP architectures across Canvas, Campaigns, Segments, user profiles, events, attributes, audiences, and channels.
- Define data models, event taxonomy, identity, subscription/preference models, experimentation, and reporting patterns.
- Specify integrations with CDP, CRM, web, mobile app, data warehouse, analytics, CMS, and other engagement tools.
- Produce clear architecture artefacts, journey blueprints, data/event specifications, and implementation guidance.
Delivery leadership and implementation guidance
- Guide delivery teams through Braze configuration, integration, testing, release, and optimisation.
- Provide hands-on design input across Canvas and campaign architecture, channel setup, APIs, SDKs, data modelling, and QA.
- Identify risks such as data readiness, consent, identity gaps, channel dependencies, platform limits, and operational change impacts.
Stakeholder alignment
- Translate between marketing, product, data, engineering, and technical delivery teams.
- Align journey orchestration, experimentation, preferences, reporting, and data usage with Braze capabilities.
- Help clients move from fragmented channel operations to integrated, data-driven customer engagement.
Pre-sales and capability development
- Support proposals, estimates, solution shaping, Braze assessments, and MAP strategy engagements.
- Develop reusable Braze/MAP patterns, reference architectures, QA approaches, data standards, and accelerators.
- Mentor consultants and stay current on Braze releases, certifications, MAP trends, privacy, and AI-enabled personalisation.
Qualifications
Braze and MAP platform expertise
- Deep technical expertise in Braze and strong experience in marketing automation or journey orchestration architecture.
- Strong understanding of Braze data models, channels, orchestration, personalisation, experimentation, reporting, and operational governance.
- Experience designing enterprise Braze or MAP solutions with CDP, CRM, analytics, web, mobile, and data platform integrations.
- Able to communicate Braze and MAP concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education and experience
- Significant experience, typically 6+ years, across Braze, MAPs, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, or wider martech platforms.
- Experience in consulting, digital delivery, enterprise technology, or lifecycle marketing transformation preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading architecture or technical design for complex Braze, MAP, or customer engagement implementations.
