Brainworks is looking for enthusiastic tutors to support students preparing for Selective Entry High Schools (SEHS), scholarship programs, and the John Monash Science School (JMSS) entrance process. This role is ideal for university students with strong Science and Maths backgrounds who enjoy mentoring and inspiring students.

The Role:
We are currently seeking casual, in person tutors specialising in Science, Maths, Selective Entry High school preparation and John Monash Science School preparation. Tutors will work with secondary school students in small-group settings, helping students strengthen both their academic skills and exam confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and supporting secondary school students
- Explaining concepts clearly and adapting to different learning styles
- Assisting students with SEHS, scholarship, and JMSS preparation
- Managing small groups of 4-5 students
- Marking work and providing feedback
- Encouraging student confidence, motivation, and independent learning
Preferred (Highly Regarded):
- Previous SEHS/JMSS students and alumni
- Completion of at least two VCE science subjects with strong results (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science preferred)
- Strong academic record in high school/university
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience
- Experience with scholarship/selective entry preparation
