The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to help shape and scale a growing Cyber portfolio. Working alongside the Head of Portfolio, Cyber, you’ll support day-to-day underwriting operations while helping create the structure, rhythm and consistency that enables sustainable growth.

Your new role
In this role, you’ll support the underwriting of new business and renewals across the Cyber portfolio, including quoting, binding, negotiation and portfolio administration. Working in close partnership with the Head of Portfolio, Cyber, you’ll help keep the function running smoothly while creating the operational foundation that supports profitable growth and strong service delivery. You’ll also:

Underwrite new business and renewals across the Cyber portfolio, including quoting, binding and negotiation within delegated authority.

Manage day-to-day underwriting and portfolio administration, ensuring accurate documentation, smooth workflows and timely service delivery.

Build strong working relationships with brokers, business partners and internal stakeholders to support responsive, solutions-focused underwriting service.

Help establish and maintain the operational foundations of the Cyber portfolio by improving processes, supporting documentation and creating structure that enables growth.

Contribute to underwriting, claims and partner discussions locally and globally, supporting knowledge sharing, portfolio insights and continuous improvement across the function.
About you
This is a hands-on role with a strong operational focus. While underwriting experience is advantageous, success in the role will come from your ability to stay organised, manage competing priorities, maintain accurate documentation and work autonomously across a broad range of underwriting and portfolio activities. Ideally, you’ll have:

Experience in underwriting, underwriting operations or a related industry support role, with a solid understanding of insurance principles and policy documentation.

Strong organisational capability, with the ability to manage detail, juggle priorities and build effective structure and process in a dynamic environment.

A curious and proactive mindset, with an interest in understanding the why behind decisions and identifying opportunities to improve the way work gets done.

Ability to engage with brokers, partners and internal stakeholders, with a service-minded approach and the ability to build trusted working relationships.

You may come from a portfolio support, scheme underwriting, operations, project delivery or transformation background and be ready to bring that experience into a specialist Cyber environment.
