As a Senior Ranger (Estates), you will provide high-level technical advice and lead a small team supporting the management of Queensland's protected areas, including national parks, state forests and reserves. You'll oversee land tenure matters and assess applications for activities on state land, ensuring decisions align with legislation, policy and conservation outcomes. The role includes leading and mentoring staff, building strong relationships with stakeholders such as Traditional Owners, landholders and industry, and contributing to planning, emergency response and recovery activities. You'll also prepare reports and briefings, manage projects and budgets, and help deliver programs across a geographically dispersed region. We're looking for someone with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, and a good understanding of conservation and natural resource management. A current manual driver's licence is required, and experience in similar roles or qualifications in environmental fields will be highly regarded.
