The Role
We're looking for an experienced barista to take ownership of the coffee offering at our onsite corporate café. You'll be the face of the café for hundreds of regulars each week: dialling in, pouring consistently excellent coffee at pace, and setting the standard for service across breakfast and lunch trade. It's a hands-on role in a daytime café, perfect for someone who takes real pride in their craft and enjoys building rapport with a regular customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-volume specialty coffee to a consistently excellent standard across breakfast and lunch service
- Dial in and maintain espresso equipment daily, including grinder adjustments, calibration, and cleaning schedules
- Deliver consistent milk texturing and latte art across the full menu
- Manage the coffee station workflow during peak periods, keeping wait times low without compromising quality
- Take orders, handle POS transactions, and provide warm, professional service to corporate customers
- Monitor coffee, milk, and consumables stock; rotate stock and flag low items
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene compliance at all times
- Keep the coffee station and front counter clean, organised, and presentable throughout the day
- Support the wider café team during peak periods when needed
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a barista in a high-volume café or specialty coffee environment
- Confident dialling in grinders, adjusting recipes, and troubleshooting espresso equipment
- Consistent milk texturing and latte art skills
- Genuine passion for coffee and pride in every cup you serve
- Quick on your feet, organised, and calm under pressure during the morning and lunch rush
- A team player with a positive, professional attitude and great customer rapport
- Comfortable with early starts (7 AM - 2 PM trading hours)
- Australian working rights essential
