We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metallurgical or Materials Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Examine breakdowns, production defects, and performance concerns in materials by carrying out detailed inspections and technical evaluations to recommend improvements.
- Oversee manufacturing and treatment processes to verify adherence to engineering guidelines, safety regulations, and established quality benchmarks.
- Prepare specimens and perform detailed laboratory analyses on raw materials and finished products using approved methodologies and specialized testing apparatus.
- Document and evaluate experimental findings, compiling precise reports and maintaining organized technical records for reference and compliance purposes.
- Set up, adjust, and service analytical instruments and sample‑processing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with technical specialists to determine mechanical and chemical characteristics of materials, including resilience, toughness, longevity, and resistance to environmental factors.
- Carry out comprehensive examinations of metals, mineral resources, and industrial substances to determine their suitability, consistency, and overall performance standards.
Requirements:
· Relevant qualifications or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
· At least 1 year of experience
· Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.
