Electrician (Solar & Air Conditioning)
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and reliable Electrician with experience in solar and air conditioning systems to join our team. The successful candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Install, commission, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters, battery storage systems, and monitoring equipment.
- Perform solar system inspections, testing, fault finding, and maintenance.
- Install, wire, and commission split system and ducted air conditioning units, ensuring compliance with electrical and manufacturer requirements.
- Carry out electrical connections for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, solar, and air conditioning systems.
- Test electrical installations to ensure functionality, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Complete job documentation, service reports, and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and perform repairs as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Current Electrical Licence.
- Experience installing and servicing residential and/or commercial electrical systems.
- Experience with solar PV installations, battery storage systems, and inverter technologies.
- Experience with air conditioning electrical installation and commissioning (split systems and ducted systems preferred).
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Working at Heights certification (preferred).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- CEC Solar Accreditation (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Refrigerant Handling Licence (desirable where applicable for HVAC work).
Skills and Competencies

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
