About the Role
Aria Curly Salon in Southport is seeking an exceptional Curly Hair Specialist & Colour Expert to join our dedicated curl-focused team. This is a full-time opportunity for a highly experienced, multiply-certified professional who is passionate about transforming curly hair and delivering outstanding colour results.
We are a specialist curl salon — our clients trust us to understand their unique hair needs, and we're looking for someone who shares that commitment to excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering expert curly hair cuts, styling, and treatments using specialist curl methods
- Performing colour services including balayage, highlights, toning, and full colour for curly and coily textures
- Consulting with clients to develop personalised hair care routines and maintenance plans
- Educating clients on curl typing, porosity, and home care
- Staying current with evolving curl techniques and colour trends
- headspa treatment
- Contributing to a positive, professional salon culture
What We're Looking For - Experience & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional hairdressing/cosmetology experience
- Minimum 5 specialist curly hair qualifications
- Cado Certified — essential
- Rezo Certified — essential
- Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing (or equivalent cosmetology qualification)
- Strong colour expertise, particularly on curly and textured hair
Skills & Attributes:
- Deep understanding of curl science — porosity, elasticity, curl patterns, and texture
- Precision cutting technique tailored to curly hair (dry cutting, wet cutting)
- Confident colour formulation skills for textured hair
- Excellent client communication and consultation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Genuine passion for the curly hair community
