As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate Diploma Qualified Room Leader to join our supportive teams across our Albion Park and Shellharbour centres in NSW.
About the Role
As a Diploma Room Leader you will take an active role in shaping the educational experiences within your room, leading a team of educators to deliver meaningful, engaging and high-quality learning opportunities for children.
You will use your knowledge, creativity and leadership skills to create an environment where children feel secure, confident and inspired to explore, learn and grow.
Working collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team, educators and families, you will contribute to a culture of excellence, reflective practice and continuous improvement while supporting children’s individual learning journeys.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of engaging educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Creating learning environments that encourage children’s curiosity, creativity, confidence and independence.
- Supporting and mentoring educators to strengthen practice and create positive outcomes for children.
- Building strong, respectful and trusting relationships with children, families and team members.
- Supporting children’s individual learning and development through observation, documentation and intentional teaching.
- Encouraging reflective practice and contributing to continuous improvement within the centre.
- Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and National Quality Standards.
- Contributing to a positive culture of teamwork, professionalism and collaboration.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a passionate Diploma Qualified Educator who is committed to excellence in early childhood education and ready to make a meaningful contribution as a Room Leader.
You will have:
- A completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification).
- Current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or confidence leading an early childhood learning environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families and team members.
- A passion for collaboration, mentoring educators and continuing professional growth.
