We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Reception & Clinical Coordinator to join our growing dental practice. This full-time position combines front-of-house reception duties with clinical coordination responsibilities, ensuring a seamless patient experience from the first point of contact through to treatment completion.
The ideal candidate will have previous dental industry experience, exceptional customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and a genuine passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm, professional manner.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and patient enquiries.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments efficiently.
- Confirm appointments and manage recalls and follow-up communications.
- Process payments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Handle health fund claims and patient billing.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.
Clinical Coordination Duties
- Coordinate treatment plans and assist patients in understanding recommended care.
- Liaise with dentists, oral health therapists, specialists, and external providers.
- Manage treatment scheduling to maximise clinical efficiency.
- Follow up with patients regarding outstanding treatment and appointments.
- Assist with patient case acceptance and treatment conversions.
- Ensure compliance with practice policies, infection control protocols, and privacy requirements.
- Support the management team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatment workflows.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Competent computer skills and experience with dental practice management software.
Desirable
- Experience with treatment coordination and case presentation.
- Knowledge of health fund claiming systems.
- Experience with dental software such as D4W, Core Practice, or similar.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
