Mentone Medical Clinic is located at Thrift Park Shopping Centre and has been operating since 2015. We are a bulk billing Practice, operating between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 1pm Saturdays. We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.
Joining our team of Doctors, Practice Nurses and Administration staff, we offer a friendly work environment, supported with ongoing training and possible opportunities for career development.
We have one position available:
- Exact days can be flexible (roughly 2-3 a week)
- Saturday as needed
- As well as flexibility for some leave/sick coverage
The successful candidate will have great customer service skills, high attention to detail and a friendly yet professional demeanour.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- answering incoming calls
- greeting patients
- booking appointments via phone and in person
- taking payments/processing Medicare claims
- scanning
- faxing
- managing referrals
- liaising with Doctors/Specialists
- cleaning & restocking offices
- general administration
Do you have the qualities that we are looking for?
- Previous Medical Reception / Reception experience required.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with a high attention to detail
- High level of confidentiality
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Microsoft office and administration skills
- Team player with a "can do" attitude
- Previous experience using a booking software program (eg: Best Practice)

Remuneration is as per Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027] and experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
