HealSoul is seeking an experienced, reliable, and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a family in Mount Waverley and surrounding areas.
About the Role
This role involves supporting children, young people, adults, and their families in the home and community. We are looking for someone with excellent spoken and written English, basic administration skills, and the ability to provide practical day-to-day support, organisation, and assistance to the individual and their family. Duties may include in-home support, light household cleaning, daily living assistance, community access, and supporting social activities and appointments.
Duties include:
- Community access and in-home support
- Personal care (where required)
- Meal planning, preparation, and bulk cooking
- Light household duties, including cleaning, dishes, and laundry
- Supporting the family with everyday administration tasks, including:
- Phone calls and emails
- Scheduling and organising appointments
- Basic paperwork and record keeping
- Budgeting support and managing everyday bills
- General organisation and task planning
- Supporting parents with planning and organising supports for children
- Providing reminders, encouragement, and support with task initiation and daily routines
- Completing progress notes and communicating effectively with the HealSoul team
- Following individual support plans and workplace procedures
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Live in Australia and have full Australian working rights
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have reliable transport
- Have previous disability support experience
- Have strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Have basic administration skills for reporting.
- Be confident supporting families with day-to-day organisation and practical tasks
- Be available for ongoing weekday and weekend shifts
- Hold or be able to provide:
- Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or similar
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)

Experience:
