The Storeperson plays a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of the production warehouse by undertaking various responsibilities. Their primary duty involves managing storage spaces and facilitating seamless product retrieval and part picking for the production lines. Storepersons are responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and preparing them for production orders or for customer pick up. Additionally, Storepersons operate forklifts and stock pickers, and other equipment to handle goods safely. Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse space, complying with safety protocols, and collaborating with team members are crucial aspects of their role, ensuring warehouse operations' overall productivity and reliability.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare and pick products for production according to the production schedule.
2. Receive and process production parts and stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
3. Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
4. Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
5. Report any discrepancies.
6. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
7. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
8. Support other workstations with forklift support.
9. Support the production manager by performing any other tasks across the production line as required.
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
· Complete tasks on time and to the required standard.
· Responsible for quality of own work subject to routine supervision.
· Plans work in consultation with the Logistics Coordinator and Production Team.
· Deal with employees professionally at all times.
· Ensure their workspace is always clean and presentable.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Completion of Year 10 WACE or equivalent.
2. High-Risk Work License- Forklift Ticket with at least 12 months experience.
3. Proficient in English.
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Working rights in Australia.
SKILLS:
1. Basic computer skills using Office 365.
2. Understanding of basic math and measurement.
3. Ability to hand-write clearly.
4. Ability to work individually or in a team environment under limited supervision.
5. Strong attention to detail.
6. Good verbal communication skills.
7. Team Player.
