The Opportunity
MHIAA is seeking a Logistics Officer to join its Logistics team at Regents Park, New South Wales. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Logistics Manager.
The role supports the coordination and monitoring of inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipments, transport, warehousing and documentation. You will work closely with third-party logistics providers, warehouses, freight forwarders, factories, customers and internal teams to keep products moving and stakeholders informed.
Success in this role will come from accurate administration, clear communication, strong follow-through and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate import and export shipment arrangements with factories, freight forwarders, warehouses and other 3PL providers.
- Issue shipment notifications and status updates to warehouses and full-container-load customers.
- Arrange interstate stock transfers and follow through with logistics partners.
- Book and post inbound shipments accurately in company systems.
- Monitor warehousing and transport activities to support timely product movement.
- Prepare regular logistics activity
- Resolve logistics issues by keeping internal and external stakeholders informed.
What We’re Looking For
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling shipping documents and system transactions.
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to following up issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills across internal teams, customers and logistics partners.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A self-motivated and reliable approach to completing time-sensitive logistics tasks.
Desirable
- A degree in logistics, supply chain or a related combination of study.
- Two or more years’ experience in accounting, logistics or a related environment.
- Previous import and export experience.
