Our solutions are widely used by restaurants, cafés, retail stores and hospitality businesses, helping clients improve operational efficiency through customised POS software, payment integration, inventory management and business automation.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled Developer Programmer to join our software development team.
The role
This is a full-time position responsible for the development, enhancement, integration and ongoing support of our POS software platform and related business applications.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements, functional specifications and technical designs for software development projects
- Design, develop, test and maintain Point-of-Sale (POS) software applications and related business systems
- Write, modify and maintain application code in accordance with system requirements, technical specifications and coding standards
- Develop web-based and mobile applications to support retail and hospitality business operations
- Integrate payment gateways, EFTPOS systems and third-party APIs with existing software platforms
- Identify technology limitations, diagnose software issues and implement effective solutions to improve system performance and reliability
- Perform software testing, debugging and troubleshooting to ensure applications meet quality and functional requirements
- Develop and maintain databases, system interfaces and software integrations
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user documentation and operational procedures
- Participate in software design discussions and recommend system enhancements, software upgrades and technology improvements
- Support software deployment, implementation and ongoing maintenance for client systems
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
- At least one year of experience in software development, application programming or a related role
- Strong experience in software application development using modern programming languages
- Experience with SQL databases, APIs, web services and system integration
- Experience developing commercial software applications
- Experience with POS systems, payment integration or retail technology will be highly regarded
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
