AG Landscaping is a growing landscaping and construction company specialising in retaining walls, fencing, paving, turfing, concreting, excavation, and complete landscape transformations across Sydney.
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Team Leader / Leading Hand who can take ownership of projects, lead a small crew, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, takes pride in their work, and can work independently without constant supervision.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating labour and materials, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
You will work closely with management while having the autonomy to run jobs and lead the team on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscaping crews on-site.
- Read and interpret plans and site measurements.
- Organise labour, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Construct retaining walls, fencing, paving, turf, drainage, and other landscaping works.
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and management.
- Identify and solve site issues independently.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
What We're Looking ForEssential
✔ Minimum 3 years experience in landscaping, civil, construction, or related industry
✔ Proven experience leading a team on-site
✔ Ability to work independently and make decisions
✔ Strong understanding of retaining walls, fencing, paving, turfing, and drainage
✔ Ability to read plans and set out works
✔ White Card
✔ Current Driver's Licence
✔ Strong work ethic and reliability
✔ Ability to motivate and manage a crew
Highly Regarded
- Excavator, Skid Steer, or Machinery Experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Certificate III in Landscape Construction
- Experience managing multiple projects
Pay: $70,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
