Synergie is seeking a Materials Officer to join our client within the civil infrastructure and construction materials testing industry located in Bundaberg filling a State Government Contract.
The important parts:
- Attractive pay rate from $48.00 to $54.00 per hour - casual plus penalties
- Monday to Friday role with occassional travel opportunities throughout the Southern Queensland Region - accommodation and meals included
- Join a team supporting major road and infrastructure projects while developing specialist materials testing skills
What you will be required to do:
As a Materials Officer, you will assist in the delivery of materials testing, compliance activities and field investigations that support the construction and maintenance of Queensland's transport infrastructure.
- Undertake materials classification, compliance and specialist testing activities
- Perform sampling, equipment calibration, maintenance checks and testing procedures
- Assist with field investigations, pavement assessments and site sampling exercises
- Complete testing and documentation in accordance with the Materials Services Management Operations System
- Operate testing equipment safely while maintaining quality and accreditation standards
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold a current Class C Driver Licence
- Possess strong numeracy skills and the ability to perform calculations using manual and software-based tools
- Be physically capable of lifting samples up to 20kg and working across varying terrain and weather conditions
- Be willing to travel throughout the Southern Queensland Region, including overnight stays when required
- Have working rights in Australia
- Have access to reliable transport and the ability to get to work
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role
