We specialise in Level 1 distribution electrical infrastructure within the Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HV Electrical Estimator to join our team.
About the Role
This is a key position within our company, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for HV distribution projects, including
- Pole-top, pad-mount, and chamber substations
- HV/LV underground and overhead distribution
- Civil construction works including earthworks and earthing
- Network augmentations and upgrades
- Pole installations
- Contestable works within Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy regions

Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and comprehend Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy Level 3 designs identifying material, labor, and subcontractor requirements
- Familiarisation with Ausgrid and Endeavour energy network standards and comprehension in relation to specific projects
- Preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions in line with the company's pricing strategy
- Collaboration with project team to clarify scope and resolve uncertainties: Senior Estimator, Project Manager, Operations Manager
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing, and consistently updating the database of pricing
- Maintaining organization of tender documentation
- Identifying and assessing risks in tenders and recommending mitigation measures
- Ensuring all take-offs are technically accurate
- Responding to queries promptly and communicating clearly and effectively with clients
- Supporting post-tender reviews and project handovers
- Assisting Project Manager with Project Coordination (if required)
Skills & Abilities
- Familiarisation with tendering websites
- Advanced user of estimation software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tender deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality submissions

Pay: $66,916.36 – $130,000.00 per year
