Residence Manager (RM) is responsible to manage, monitor and deliver on all expected outcomes as per the Australian Quality & Safety Commission Agency (ACQSC), other regulatory requirements, Human Resources and Financial Management of Aeralife Northcote home.
This Position reports to Regional Operations Manager and is a key member of VIC leadership team.

The Opportunity on Offer
You will be a registered nurse, with AHPRA registration. Appropriate business qualifications (Working towards same may be considered). You will possess demonstrated experience leading residential aged care services, including ACQSC re-accreditation and assessment visits, and have sound knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding, and quality and clinical governance frameworks.
As Residence Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the residence, ensuring quality resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, workforce capability, financial accountability and operational excellence
How you will make an Impact
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality resident care and operational efficiency
- Oversee rostering to maintain appropriate skill mix, staffing coverage and care delivery requirements
- Uphold resident rights and proactively address resident or family concerns
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives in line with organisational strategy
- Ensure compliance with AN-ACC documentation and optimise funding outcomes
- Liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
- Monitor and manage clinical risk, incidents, and preventative strategies
- Manage clinical supply procurement and departmental reporting
- Lead preparation for ACQSC accreditation, re-accreditation and assessment visits
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and ACQSC requirements, including quality indicator reporting, risk management and emergency preparedness
Ensure effective clinical governance practices, including medication management, staff competency development and clinical benchmarking activities

About You
You are an individual who can demonstrate a strong track record in effectively leading and managing multidisciplinary teams. You are passionate about aged care, committed to delivering exceptional resident outcomes, and can adapt to the evolving legislative and regulatory environment within the sector.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current registration the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Undergraduate, graduate or post graduate qualifications in Management or appropriate business qualifications. (Working towards same may be considered).
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Residential Aged Care.
- Demonstrated experience managing ACQSC accreditation, compliance and assessment processes.
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC and aged care regulatory requirements.
- Excellent computer literacy and competency in electronic care systems.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving positive resident outcomes.
- Strong clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management capability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills.
- High level computer literacy and experience using electronic care management systems.
