About the Role
As Head of Faculty – Economics you will:
- Lead and inspire a team delivering engaging, rigorous programs in Economics, Business Studies, Legal Studies and related disciplines
- Drive innovative curriculum design and delivery, aligned with the frameworks of NESA and the International Baccalaureate
- Promote a culture of academic excellence, critical thinking, and real-world application
- Use data-informed insights to continuously improve student outcomes
- Foster a Faculty environment that prioritises collaboration, professional growth, and reflective practice
- Contribute to the School’s broader academic strategy and leadership community
You will be both a dynamic classroom practitioner and an experienced leader, capable of guiding staff and students to achieve outstanding results while connecting learning to contemporary economic and business contexts.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a leader who:
- Demonstrates expertise in teaching Economics and/or Business Studies to Stage 6
- Has proven experience in curriculum leadership, innovation and team management
- Is committed to developing future-focused learners with strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Actively champions professional learning, both personally and within their team
- Brings a strategic mindset and the ability to lead innovation in teaching and learning

The role will be offered as an ongoing teaching role with an initial 3 year fixed-term leadership contract. The role attracts the relevant teaching salary depending on accreditation level (between $99,803 - $140,989) and a Leadership Level 2 Allowance.
