About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting participants to live independently, achieve their goals, and actively engage in their communities. You will provide person-centred support with daily living activities, personal care, medication assistance, and household tasks, while fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Working closely with participants, families, and allied health professionals, you will help implement individual support plans, encourage the development of life skills and independence, and support access to education, employment, community activities, and social connections. You will advocate for participants' rights, promote choice and autonomy, and deliver support in line with behaviour support plans and best-practice care standards. This is a Permenant Part-Time position, working 30 hours per fortnight.
About you
You will be passionate about supporting clients in their own homes to achieve their goals, build independence, and live fulfilling lives.
In addition, you will also possess:
Certificate III in Community Care, Individualised Supports or Disability is essential
Experience and knowledge working with people on a one on one basis
Knowledge of the NDIS practice standards
Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
Drivers Licence
First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Access to a roadworthy vehicle which is registered in WA and covered by Third-Party Insurance (as a minimum)
National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
