What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
About You
Experience in oncology, haematology, or radiation oncology nursing is highly desired; however, it is not essential. We will teach you everything you need to succeed in these specialty areas, and you will be fully supported to develop confidence and capability through structured education, clinical guidance, and ongoing mentorship.

You hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care. You possess comprehensive nursing skills, knowledge, and clinical expertise relevant to both outpatient and acute hospital settings, enabling you to provide high-quality care across a diverse range of patient presentations and clinical environments.
You apply well-developed clinical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to assess patient needs, identify priorities, and implement appropriate interventions that optimise patient outcomes. Your ability to make sound clinical judgments supports the delivery of effective, responsive, and compassionate care.
You demonstrate excellent communication skills through the effective use of information technology, clinical documentation, and professional written and verbal communication. You build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues through strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.
You are skilled in planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care within a multidisciplinary team environment, ensuring care is outcome-focused and aligned with best practice standards. Your ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals contributes to the achievement of high-quality patient outcomes and continuity of care.
You are flexible, reliable, and adaptable, with the capacity to participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including public holidays and night duty. You maintain a professional approach in demanding clinical environments and consistently contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused healthcare services.
