McDonald's Broome is seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Manager/Retail Supervisor to join our team.
This is a full time position suited to someone with strong supervisory experience in a fast-paced hospitality or quick-service environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily restaurant operations, supporting staff performance and training, maintaining high customer service standards and ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure customers receive prompt service and quality food and beverages inline with McDonald's standards.
- Respond to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints and resolve service issues promptly.
- Allocate staff to service, drive-thru, food preparation and other duties based on operational needs.
- Prepare staff rosters and maintain appropriate staffing levels during each shift.
- Conduct staff induction and training, monitor performance and support staff development.
- Address staff concerns and escalate serious performance or workplace issues to the Store Manager.
- Coach staff on customer service, sales procedures, order accuracy and handling difficult customer situations.
- Review incorrect or unsatisfactory customer orders and determine appropriate corrective action.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct stock checks and report shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Ensure menu items, pricing and promotional displays are accurate and properly presented.
- Supervise food preparation and service to maintain product quality and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, security and cash-handling procedures.
- Monitor store cleanliness and presentation and allocate staff to address any issues.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving customer service and operational performance targets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate II or above in Hospitality, Retail, Business, Management or a related field.
- McDonald's Management Certificate or equivalent internal management training.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or shift management role within the hospitality or fast-food industry.
- Proven ability to supervise, train and manage staff in a fast -paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling customer complaints and resolving operational issues independently.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, food safety and hygiene standards.
