About the role
Reporting to the PMO Lead and working closely with Project Managers, the IT Business Analyst will play a critical role in delivering technology initiatives across the business. This position is responsible for capturing, analysing and documenting requirements, while acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs, particularly in the Consumer Data Rights space. This position is on a 12-month Fixed-term contract.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements, including process mapping
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions using a range of stakeholder engagement techniques
- Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle (waterfall) or maintain and prioritise a product backlog (agile)
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to produce solution design documentation aligned to business outcomes
- Work closely with developers, DBAs and technical specialists to optimise system solutions
- Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to key stakeholders
- Support system configuration, testing and validation of requirements
- Assist with change management activities, including creation of user guides and training materials
- Ensure all documentation meets project quality assurance standards
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of Consumer Data Right (CDR) standards, including banking data models and schemas
- Ability to interpret ACCC CDR rules and map them to data structures and system outputs
- Experience working with JSON, data mapping and transformation
- Knowledge of APIs and RESTful data exchange patterns
- Familiarity with data quality, validation and reconciliation processes
- Understanding of consent-driven data sharing and lifecycle management
- Experience supporting API-based data integrations and flows
- Exposure to Conformance Test Suite (CTS) and compliance validation
- Ability to define and execute data-focused test cases (SIT/UAT)
- Strong stakeholder collaboration across vendors, architects and integration teams
Nice to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or a related discipline
- Experience within finance functions or lending environments
- Exposure to SQL
