MADEC is seeking a dedicated and community-minded Regional Liaison Officer to join our growing Labour Hire Services team in Adelaide's northern suburbs.
This rewarding full-time role focuses on supporting workers participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme, helping them successfully settle, work and thrive while living in Australia.

As a Regional Liaison Officer, you will provide pastoral care, advocacy and practical support to PALM Scheme workers employed across a range of industries.
You'll work closely with workers, employers, community organisations and internal stakeholders to ensure participants are supported both in and outside the workplace.
This is far more than an administrative role. You'll become a trusted point of contact, helping workers navigate life in Australia while ensuring their wellbeing, safety and overall experience remain positive.
Worker Support & Pastoral Care
- Build strong and trusted relationships with workers.
- Provide support across a range of areas including:
- Medical appointments and healthcare access
- Accommodation and transport arrangements
- Community, cultural and family connections
- Workplace matters and general wellbeing
- Translation and communication support
- Advocacy and problem-solving assistance
- Respond to worker enquiries and provide practical solutions.
- Assist workers upon arrival and support their ongoing settlement within the community.
- Conduct regular check-ins and wellbeing visits.
- Help workers connect with local services, community groups and cultural networks.
- Support workers to maintain social, cultural and religious connections.
- Act as a positive advocate for PALM participants within the broader community.
- Foster positive relationships between workers, employers and local communities.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and wellbeing.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and worker safety discussions.
- Assist with inductions and workplace training where required.
- Report and document incidents, hazards and worker concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
- Assist with investigations and return-to-work processes when required.

- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
- Knowledge of local services and community networks is highly regarded.
