We are looking for a Senior Data Centre Network Engineer to lead the design, build, migration, and stabilisation of a major data centre network transformation programme.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Nexus, VXLAN EVPN, Cisco ACI, BGP EVPN, NDFC, and hybrid cloud connectivity, along with the ability to independently manage technical workstreams and lead complex migrations.
- Design and implement Cisco Nexus Spine-Leaf VXLAN EVPN fabrics, including underlay, overlay, VRFs, VNIs, BUM replication, route leaking, and external connectivity.
- Review architecture, identify technical gaps and risks, and recommend improvements.
- Translate existing network configurations and policies into target-state designs.
- Lead fabric build, provisioning, validation, compliance, and lifecycle activities using Cisco Nexus Dashboard/NDFC.
- Develop migration strategies, dependency maps, migration waves, cutover/rollback plans, and test procedures.
- Lead migration cutovers, troubleshooting, hypercare, and operational handover.
- Support AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute, including routing, peering, and redundancy.
- Manage CAB, risk assessments, implementation plans, and post-implementation reviews.
- Maintain technical documentation, including HLD/LLD, IP plans, network diagrams, migration runbooks, and as-built documents.
- Act as a technical escalation point and mentor other engineers.
- 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, with 4+ years in data centre networking.
- Strong production experience with Cisco Nexus VXLAN EVPN.
- Hands-on Cisco ACI experience covering EPGs, contracts, BDs, VRFs, segmentation, and external connectivity.
