The Opportunity
The Fig Trees Disability Services is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Disability Support Workers who are fluent in Vietnamese. We are currently building a specialised team to provide 24/7 support for a specific client based in Adelaide’s North.
Because this client requires round-the-clock care, this unique opportunity offers a highly flexible roster, including day shifts, and sleepover shifts.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, your cultural background and language skills are your greatest assets. You will be working closely with our client to ensure they feel safe, understood, and empowered in their daily life.
- Daily Living Assistance: Providing respectful support with personal hygiene, domestic chores, and meal preparation.
- Linguistic & Cultural Support: Acting as a vital communication bridge to ensure the client’s needs and preferences are clearly understood and honoured.
- Capacity Building: Assisting the client to achieve the goals outlined in their NDIS support plan while building their confidence and independence.
- Administration & Safety: Keeping accurate shift notes, monitoring client wellbeing, and communicating effectively with the broader care coordination team.
What You Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive team player who brings both professional expertise and genuine empathy.
- Language Requirement: Native or highly fluent Vietnamese speaking skills are strictly mandatory for this specific client match.
- Experience & Education: A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services, coupled with at least 6 months of practical experience in the sector.
- Transport: A current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Digital Literacy: Ability to use a smartphone for shift documentation and roster management.
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
Prior to commencement, successful candidates must hold or be willing to obtain:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- National Police Clearance.
- Valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Up-to-date manual handling and infection control training.
