About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team and support our operations in the Scottsdale area. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering parcels to various post offices in the region. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of parcels, helping to keep the local community connected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading Parcels: Efficiently load and secure parcels into a delivery truck, ensuring proper organization and safety of all items for transport.
- Delivery to Post Offices: Transport parcels to designated post offices in the Scottsdale area, ie, Scottsdale, Lilydale, Lebrina
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with post office staff and assist with unloading parcels as needed.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the delivery vehicle is in good working condition, performing basic maintenance checks (fuel, oil, tires, etc.) and reporting any issues to management.
- Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and Australia Post’s internal policies, including handling and delivering parcels safely and securely.
Key Requirements:
- Valid LR Driver’s License: Current and valid Australian Light Rigid driver’s license
- Driving Experience: Previous experience in a similar driving role is highly preferred.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move parcels of varying sizes and weights.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to ensure parcels are loaded properly and efficiently.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with colleagues at post offices and report any issues or discrepancies promptly.
