Freelance Wedding Videographer – Canberra
We're a growing wedding videography business based in Canberra looking for a skilled freelance videographer.
This is an ongoing subcontract position with consistent work, approximately 20 weddings this year, growing to 40 next year. The season kicks off properly in September, with occasional winter weddings.
What the role involves:
- Capturing the full day including bride and groom prep, ceremony, location shoot and reception
- Operating 2 cameras + audio recording across ceremony and speeches
- Moving across multiple locations throughout the day
- Working alone/with the photographer
- Dropping memory cards to our editor after each wedding
What we're looking for:
- Solid camera knowledge
- Experience filming (wedding expereience not required)
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working solo
- Ability to travel up to 2 hours from Canberra on occasion (90% of weddings are within 1 hour)
- Valid ABN and Public Liability Insurance (required)
All necessary gear is provided, including 2x Sony cameras, Zhiyun gimbals and audio recording equipment.
Above all, we need someone we can count on. If you accept a booking, we need to know you'll show up.
Pay & hours:
- Approximately 8 hours per wedding
- On average $1,000 per wedding
- A meal is provided at most weddings
- Predominantly weekends, September through May
