MAYA Mexican is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Bartenders to join our team in Fortitude Valley.
MAYA is a vibrant Mexican restaurant and bar known for great food, creative cocktails, agave spirits and a fun, energetic atmosphere. We’re looking for bartenders who love hospitality, know their way around a bar and enjoy creating a great experience for every guest.
About the Role
As a Bartender at MAYA, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality drinks and exceptional service while working as part of a fast-paced, professional team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
- Providing friendly, knowledgeable and engaging service
- Taking orders and processing transactions accurately
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
- Following recipes, presentation standards and responsible service practices
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Supporting the wider FOH team during busy service
- Creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our guests
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous bartending experience in a busy restaurant or bar
- Has a genuine passion for hospitality
- Is confident preparing cocktails and working in a high-volume environment
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well under pressure and as part of a team
- Has a positive, energetic and professional attitude
- Is reliable, punctual and well presented
- Has a current RSA
- Is available to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
