Founded in Canberra more than 40 years ago, we design, construct, manufacture and maintain complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling systems for some of the country’s most significant buildings and institutions. Today we are scaling rapidly into AI infrastructure, manufacturing advanced cooling systems for a new generation of data centres.
We are looking for an Assembly Quality Controller to join our Fabrication team at our Hume, ACT warehouse. You will be the person who confirms that every assembled module, installed component and pressure test meets approved drawings, specifications and tolerances before the work moves to the next stage of production.
This is a hands-on role on the floor, working closely with assemblers, Pressure Test Leads and supervisors. If you take pride in catching things early and keeping quality standards high, we would like to hear from you.

Inspect assembled modules and components against drawings and specifications for tolerance, orientation, completeness and finish

Conduct or witness pressure testing to approved procedures and record results accurately

Check that test records, identification and traceability documentation are complete before release

Document defects, leaks, damage and non-conformances clearly, quarantine affected items and support corrective action and re-inspection

Complete QC paperwork including checklists, inspection reports, pressure test records and NCRs

Raise issues early with assemblers, Pressure Test Leads and production staff to keep jobs moving

Report daily quality information to your supervisor

Maintain inspection and testing equipment, confirm it is fit for use and report faults

Take part in QA audits and in team, toolbox and quality meetings

Report unsafe conditions, environmental risks, accidents and near misses under our WHSEQ requirements

Clear communication with staff, supervisors and managers

Able to safely access, handle and inspect assemblies

White Card, Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness

Experience in mechanical assembly, module assembly or pressure testing (desirable)

Trade qualification or Certificate III in Engineering, Mechanical Trade, Plumbing or equivalent (desirable)
