The café combines character-inspired food and beverages, exclusive merchandise, themed dining spaces, digital content, seasonal activations and special events to provide a distinctive hospitality and retail experience.
As our business and digital presence continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Multimedia Designer to join our Melbourne team.
About the Role
The Multimedia Designer will plan, design and produce engaging multimedia content across the company’s digital, retail and customer-facing channels.
Working with management, marketing and operational teams, you will develop multimedia content for menu and merchandise launches, promotional campaigns, websites, social media, special events and seasonal activations.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with relevant teams to determine the objectives, audiences and requirements of multimedia projects.
- Research design trends, customer preferences and digital content formats relevant to hospitality, retail and character-themed experiences.
- Develop creative concepts for menu launches, merchandise releases, seasonal campaigns, collaborations and special events.
- Design and produce multimedia content combining graphics, illustrations, photography, video, animation, text and sound.
- Create multimedia assets for websites, online retail activities, social media, digital advertisements and in-store displays.
- Produce and edit photography and video content featuring food, beverages, merchandise, themed spaces and promotional activities.
- Prepare storyboards, layouts, mock-ups, animations and motion graphics to communicate design concepts.
- Translate marketing and campaign briefs into effective multimedia materials tailored to the intended audience.
- Adapt multimedia content for different platforms, formats and customer touchpoints while maintaining brand consistency.
- Prepare creative concepts and presentations for internal review and any required brand approval.
- Test and refine multimedia content to ensure effective presentation and functionality across relevant platforms and devices.
- Manage multimedia projects from initial concept through to final production and delivery.
- Maintain and organise the company’s digital creative assets.
- Monitor consumer preferences and digital media trends across Australia and Asian markets to support culturally relevant campaigns.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a closely related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in multimedia design or digital content production.
- Strong skills in digital design, photography, video editing, animation and motion graphics.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications or equivalent professional design software.
- Experience producing multimedia content for websites, social media and other digital platforms.
- A sound understanding of typography, composition, branding and digital design principles.
- The ability to interpret creative briefs and translate business requirements into effective multimedia content.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- An understanding of consumer and digital media trends across Australia and Asian markets.
- Mandarin Chinese language skills would be highly regarded, as the role may involve communication with Chinese-speaking customers, business partners, suppliers and other stakeholders.

- A salary of $85,000–$95,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
