Reporting to the works coordinator and supervisors, you will be responsible for operating a variety of council vehicles and plant, including:
- Light trucks
- Heavy rigid trucks
- Tandem drive cartage trucks
- Tandem drive machinery float
- Truck and dog trailer
- Tandem drive semi water tanker
- Other council vehicles and plant as required
You will assist in the delivery of council's maintenance and construction programs, including road maintenance, gravel resheeting, drainage works, transport of plant and materials, civil construction activities and emergency response when required.
Current driver licence with HC endorsement.
Employee Working with Children Check
Basic written and verbal skills.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Good understanding of occupational health and safety responsibility
