About the Team
The Evolve Therapeutic Service provides mental health services to children and young people 0-18 years involved with child safety services, on child protection orders and in out-of-home care, who have severe and/or complex mental health needs. The service delivers clinical and coordinated support to children and young people including their stakeholder network to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The Queensland ETS program is an external third party funded program under a Memorandum of Understanding between Queensland Health and the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Clinical Practice:
Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with the discipline specific Code of Ethics and the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce. This includes: Provision of high level independent clinical services including assessment, treatment and case management to children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems, and their carer networks.
Demonstrate clinical leadership in the advocacy for the mental health needs of service consumers and their carers and relevant agencies within the mental health team.
Demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills in a practice area of complex trauma, abuse and attachment disorders.
Apply independent professional judgement, based on valid and reliable evidence, to a complex caseload to continuously contribute to the development of best practice mental health services within the Evolve Therapeutic Services team.
Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the discipline and the multi-disciplinary team, that support the continuum of care.
